      Homozygous female germline clones result in small actin ring canals. The ring canals appear similar in size to those of controls in germline cysts of stages II and III, but at stage IVg (the sixth stage of the fourth mitotic division and before ring canal growth) the mutant ring canals are smaller than those of controls. The eggs produce by these females are smaller than normal.
