Expression of RdlHMC03643 under the control of Scer\GAL4GMR82B09 or Scer\GAL4GMR82B10 significantly increases larval light avoidance and increases the magnitude of larval head casts in response to light and in response to exiting a light spot, compared to controls; in the case of Scer\GAL4GMR82B09, larvae are also significantly more likely to return to a light spot after leaving, compared to controls.
The expression of RdlHMC03643 under the control of Scer\GAL4GH146 or Scer\GAL4Sxl-NP2426 leads to a significant decrease in smell perception in attraction assays, as compared to controls.
