      Inhibition (using Ctet\TeTxLCTNT.UAS) of Scer\GAL4GMR82B10 cells significantly reduces larval avoidance of white light, compared to controls; this phenotype is still seen when activation is restricted to a smaller set of cells using Scer\GAL80ChAT.PU.

      Optogenetic activation (using Cnoc\ChR1Cs.IVS.20xUAS.Venus with 620 nm (red) light) of Scer\GAL4GMR82B10 cells significantly increases larval head casts, compared to controls.
