      Expression of Rbpn-5dsRNA.Scer\UAS.WIZ under the control of Scer\GAL4Bx-MS1096 (in the presence of Dcr-2Scer\UAS.cDa to enhance RNAi efficiency) results in wing trichome swirling with frequent multiple trichomes produced per cell, in addition to mild wing vein defects and wing unevenness.

      Expression of Rbpn-5dsRNA.Scer\UAS.WIZ under the control of Scer\GAL4pnr-MD237 in the notum results in loss of microchaetae and defects in trichome polarity and spacing.
