Description

dpp imaginal disc enhancer sequences drive expression of 'LNG', a lexA::GAD driver which is composed of Ecol\lexA (providing DNA binding specificity) and the Scer\GAL4 transcriptional activator domain, with a Tag:NLS(SV40-largeT) nuclear localization signal (NLS) inserted in between the Ecol\lexA and Scer\GAL4 sequences. The presence of the NLS reduces the transcriptional activation activity of this driver compared to one lacking the NLS.
