UAS regulatory sequences drive expression of the CIBN::cre-C split-cre system component.
P1\creN.Scer\UAS.T:Atha\CIB1 and P1\creC.Scer\UAS.T:Atha\CRY2 together form a photo-inducible split-Cre system. The T:Atha\CIB1 and T:Atha\CRY2 tags (present in P1\creN.Scer\UAS.T:Atha\CIB1 and P1\creC.Scer\UAS.T:Atha\CRY2 respectively) dimerise in response to blue light, which brings together the N-terminal and C-terminal portions of P1\cre present in P1\creN.Scer\UAS.T:Atha\CIB1 and P1\creC.Scer\UAS.T:Atha\CRY2, reconstituting a functional P1\cre protein.
