Detailed Description

Reference

Imaginal discs, brain lobes and salivary glands of Pole2^LL07627 third instar larvae are significantly smaller than wild type.

BrdU incorporation in the S phase zone of eye discs is dramatically reduced in Pole2^LL07627 mutants.

PH3 staining in Pole2^LL07627 mutants is reduced in the M phase zone of eye discs, but somewhat increased in the posterior region.

There is no significant difference in the number of nuclei between wild type and Pole2^LL07627 salivary glands, however the size of nuclei is reduced by 34.5% in the latter indicating defective endoreplication.
