Description

Consists of Klp10A regulatory sequences fused to Klp10A coding sequences followed by sequences encoding the two amino acid linker LK and the coding region for the GFP(S65T) fluorescent protein. The coding sequences came from cDNA LD29208 obtained from the Drosophila Genomic Resource Center. The 5' regulatory sequences were amplified from Oregon-R genomic DNA.

      The frequency of nondisjunctional and chromosome loss offspring produced by Klp10AT:Avic\GFP-S65T females with one or two copies of the P{Klp10A.GFP}M12M1 insertion is not significantly different from wild type. That is, there is no evidence that Klp10AT:Avic\GFP-S65T causes dominant negative effects.
