Expression of CycJHZ14 significantly rescues the oogenesis defects seen in homozygous Df(3L)armi-J females. Females are capable of producing fully developed stage 14 egg chambers and of laying eggs, albeit at a dramatically reduced rate compared to heterozygotes. There is also a dramatic decrease in the frequency of compound egg chambers (multiple cysts in one follicular epithelium) when CycJHZ14 is expressed in Df(3L)armi-J/Df(3L)Exel6095.
