UAS regulatory sequences drive expression of a mutant form of Hsap\TARDBP in which the tryptophan at residue 113 and the arginine at residue 151 have been mutated to alanine.
Flies expressing Hsap\TARDBPW113A.R151A.Scer\UAS in the eye under the control of Scer\GAL4GMR.PU do not show any signs of retinal degeneration.
Expression of Hsap\TARDBPW113A.R151A.Scer\UAS in motor neurons under the control of Scer\GAL4D42 has no effect on lifespan compared to controls.
