UAS regulatory sequences drive expression of a mutant form of Hsap\TARDBP in which the tryptophan at residue 113 and the arginine at residue 151 have been mutated to alanine and the NLS sequence has been deleted (six basic amino acids (K82, R83, K84, K95, K97, R98) have been replaced with alanine).
Flies expressing Hsap\TARDBPW113A.R151A.NLSmt.Scer\UAS in the eye under the control of Scer\GAL4GMR.PU do not show any signs of retinal degeneration.
