      Approximately 95% of the eggs laid by females expressing spn-F165-364.Scer\UAS.P\T.N.T:Avic\GFP in a spn-F1 mutant background (under the control of Scer\GAL4mat.αTub67C.T:Hsim\VP16) hatch, demonstrating that the C-terminal half of spn-F is sufficient for spn-F function.
