The antennae of flies expressing ScrΔLASCY.DYTQL.CTD.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4pb.PJ are not wild type but do not exhibit an obvious transformation to proboscis identity. Patches of tricombless, convoluted cuticle are seen at higher temperatures.
