      Ubquitous expression of Tps1Scer\UAS.cMa, under the control of Scer\GAL4αTub84B.PL, causes early larval or embryonic lethality.

      Expression of Tps1Scer\UAS.cMa in the fat body, under the control of Scer\GAL4Cg.PA significantly increases the level of trehalose, although glycogen and glucose levels are unchanged. These flies are lethal soon after or during eclosion.
