      Expression of hpoS30A.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4C-765 results in a reduction in wing size, that is more severe than when the wild type construct (hpoScer\UAS.cHb) is expressed.

      Overcoming the lethality seen when hpoS30A.Scer\UAS is expressed under the control of Scer\GAL4ci.PU by restricting expression to the pupal stages onwards (using Scer\GAL80) results in flies with small wings compared to controls. The mortality rate is higher than is is seen when hpoScer\UAS.cHb is used.
