FlyBase curator comment: this entry represents a transgenic construct where the particular construct used cannot be determined.
Expression of mTerf3dsRNA.Scer\UAS.cUa using Scer\GAL4ey.PU results in a massive phenotype with reduced eye-size and disorganized head structure.
Ubiquitous expression of mTerf3dsRNA.Scer\UAS.cUa under the control of Scer\GAL4da.PU results in reduced larval body size. The knock-down larvae are visible smaller from 4 days after egg-laying (AEL) and onwards and show reduced body weight in comparison with controls. The knock-down larvae display development and eventually they die at the pupal stage.
Scer\GAL4da.PU>mTerf3dsRNA.Scer\UAS.cUa larvae at 3-6 days AEL show a major reduction in oxygen consumption rates compared with wild-type. An increase of mtDNA levels are also observed in the mutant larvae at 6 days AEL compared with controls. Scer\GAL4da.PU>mTerf3dsRNA.Scer\UAS.cUa-expression leads to reduced levels of mitochondrial ribosome assembly compared with wild-type.
Scer\GAL4da.PU, mTerf3RNAi.UAS.cUa has decreased body size | larval stage phenotype, suppressible by Dpse\Mterf3+t10
Dpse\Mterf3+t10 fully suppresses the growth phenotype of mTerf3dsRNA.Scer\UAS.cUa>mTerf3dsRNA.Scer\UAS.cUa larvae.
