Flies expressing crpScer\UAS.W under the control of either Scer\GAL4btl.PS or Scer\GAL4bs-1348 show tracheal branching phenotypes. No tracheal phenotypes are observed when crpScer\UAS.W is expressed under the control of Scer\GAL4Mhc.PU.
Expression of crpScer\UAS.W under the control of Scer\GAL4A9 results in an increase in the size of the larval salivary gland compared to wild type flies, and this increase is due to an increase in cell size rather than cell number. The larval central nervous system is also visibly bulkier, in both the brain lobes and the ventral nerve cord, and the cells of the larval fat body are larger.
Expression of crpScer\UAS.W in the eye imaginal discs under the control of Scer\GAL4GMR.PU leads to slight ommatidia organisation. Each ommatidium appears slightly more bulky than wild type. The growth of interommatidial bristles is suppressed.
