When crpDN.Scer\UAS is expressed in the whole tracheal system under the control of Scer\GAL4btl.PS the number of thicker terminal branches of the dorsal branch and lateral G branch from segment 7 is reduced compared to wild type larvae. A similar phenotype is seen when crpDN.Scer\UAS is expressed in terminal cells under the control of Scer\GAL4bs-1348. No tracheal phenotypes are observed when crpDN.Scer\UAS is expressed under the control of Scer\GAL4Mhc.PU.

Many second and third instar larvae expressing crpDN.Scer\UAS under the control of Scer\GAL4btl.PS exhibit collapsed dorsal trunks. No terminal cells and fusion cells are observed.

When crpDN.Scer\UAS is expressed in the salivary gland under the control of Scer\GAL4A9 the glands shrink into a much smaller and shorter organ when compared with wild type. The number and size of the cells are both reduced. Increased cell death is seen compared with wild type.

Expression of crpDN.Scer\UAS in the eye imaginal discs under the control of Scer\GAL4GMR.PU leads to ommatidia and bristles defects in the posterior half of the adult eyes. The most posterior end of the eye shows no ommatidia or bristles, whilst closer to the midline only ommatidia are found without any bristles. The anterior side of the eye contains both round ommatidia and normal bristles as in wild type.
