The RMCE cassette of the parent MI03404 MiMIC insertion line has been replaced with a EGFP-FlAsH-StrepII-TEV-3xFlag multi-tag cassette. The flanking sequences for the parent line map 7.3 kb apart, consistent with 2 inserts or 1 insert associated with a rearrangement. The 5' flank maps to the coding intron of the CCAP-R gene and the 3' flank to the coding intron of the CG42235 gene. These genes are transcribed in opposite directions and there is experimental evidence that the protein tag is oriented such that it would tag CCAP-R and not CG42235. If the parent MI03404 MiMIC insertion were associated with a deletion between the mapped flanking sequences, a 5' segment of the CCAP-R gene may be missing.
