Expression of a lacZ reporter is driven by the ap dorsoventral enhancer 'DV', the early enhancer 'E' and a region around the ap transcription start site including the Polycomb Response Element (PRE) 'P'. The 'DV' and 'E' regions are flanked by FRT sites.
