Description

UASt regulatory sequences drive expression of full-length Hsap\NF2 isoform 2 that is tagged at the N-terminal end with Tag:FLAG. The protein appears to act as a dominant-negative, interfering with the function of the D. melanogaster Mer ortholog in transgenic flies.

      Overexpression of Hsap\NF2Scer\UAS.Iso2.T:Zzzz\FLAG (two copies) driven by Scer\GAL4ap.PU causes ectopic vein formation (particularly along the second, third and fifth wing veins), as well as a downward cupping of the wing blade.
