12 copies of a histone repeat unit containing the His3^HisGU.K122R mutation (flies contain 4 copies of PBac{3xHisGU.H3K122R}) largely rescues the embryonic lethality of Df(2L)His^C homozygotes to adulthood (some pupal lethality is seen).

12 copies of a histone repeat unit containing the His3^HisGU.K122R mutation (flies contain 4 copies of PBac{3xHisGU.H3K122R}) rescue the severe growth defect seen in homozygous Df(2L)His^C clones in the wing disc.
