Insertion within an intron of dlg1.
dlg1intol/dlg1intol mutants, but not dlg1intol/+, exhibit a drastic reduction of acquired tolerance to ethanol vapor-induced sedation, in both acute and chronic tolerance assays; and a small but significant decrease in ethanol sensitivity as compared to controls. Ethanol absorption and metabolism, and synaptic transmission appear to be unaffected in dlg1intol/dlg1intol mutants.
