Description

UASp regulatory sequences drive expression of a non-phosphorylatable form of baf (three potential phosphorylation sites have been mutated to Ala residues, changes are S2A, T4A and S5A) which also carries a mutation that disrupts homodimerisation (amino acid replacement L90E).

      Expression of baf3A.monomer.Scer\UAS.P\T under the control of Scer\GAL4mat.αTub67C.T:Hsim\VP16 does not cause any condensation defects in mature oocytes, although a high proportion of the condensed chromosomes (about a third) are misaligned compared to wild-type.
