UAS regulatory sequences drive expression of a chimeric protein comprised of the scw prodomain fused to the gbb ligand domain. The gbb ligand domain has been mutated (carries the amino acid replacement T358N) to introduce a second N-glycosylation motif in the fusion protein (this additional motif is in the corresponding position to the scw-specific N-glycosylation motif found in scw). The open reading frame is tagged with Tag:FLAG.
Scer\GAL4dpp.3KK/gbb::scwscwPD.gbbLD+Glc.UAS.Tag:FLAG is a suppressor | partially of visible | adult stage phenotype of gbb5I/gbb4
Scer\GAL4dpp.3KK/gbb::scwscwPD.gbbLD+Glc.UAS.Tag:FLAG is a suppressor | partially of posterior crossvein phenotype of gbb5I/gbb4
The loss of posterior crossvein characteristic for gbb5I/gbb4 can be partially rescued by Scer\GAL4dpp.3KK-driven expression of gbb::scwscwPD.gbbLD+Glc.Scer\UAS.T:Zzzz\FLAG in the mutant background.
