Uxs1/Df(3L)Exel6112 transheterozygotes are lethal - most individuals dye at the late pupal stage but pharate adults are occasionally found.

Uxs1/Df(3L)Exel6112 pharate adults display some missing bristles on both the dorsal head capsule and the scutellum, and display a rough eye phenotype, as compared to controls.

Uxs1/Df(3L)Exel6112 third instar larvae exhibit no obvious in the number of either sensory organ precursor cells or supraalar neurons in the wing discs, as compared to controls.
