Imprecise excision of the progenitor, resulting in 1.4kb deletion within Ca-α1T.
Ca-α1TΔ3 homozygous adults or Ca-α1TΔ3/Ca-α1TΔ115 and Ca-α1TΔ3/Ca-α1TΔ135 transheterozygous adults, previously trained under 12h:12h light:dark cycles, show a significant increase in sleep time during the subjective light period after being transferred into constant darkness conditions, as compared to controls; if kept under 12h:12h light:dark cycles, Ca-α1TΔ3/Ca-α1TΔ115 or Ca-α1TΔ3/Ca-α1TΔ135 transheterozygous adults, but not Ca-α1TΔ3 homozygous adults, show a significant decrease in sleep time only during the dark period, as compared to controls.
