Ca-α1TΔ135 homozygous adults or Ca-α1TΔ135/Ca-α1TΔ115 or Ca-α1TΔ135/Ca-α1TΔ115 transheterozygous adults previously trained under 12h:12h light:dark cycles show a significant decrease in sleep time only during the dark period if they are kept under the same light:dark cycles, and show a significant increase in sleep time only during the subjective light period after being transferred into constant darkness conditions, as compared to controls under matched photoperiod conditions.
