Indel near the beginning of the coding sequence that results in a frameshift (and is predicted to result in a premature stop codon - see FBrf0236926). The indel also creates three potential start codons in frame with the rest of the wild-type pal coding sequence, and thus it is possible that these could generate three potential proteins containing the last 87 amino acids of the wild-type pal protein. Complementation data (palRT4 complements pal1) indicates that pal function is not affected in this mutant.
A frameshift allele that truncates the majority of the coding potential of the gene.
ATTCA
The deletion of 4 bp and insertion of 5 bp resulting in a net insertion of 1base in the CG31882 coding region.
FBrf0258075 reports a G to C nucleotide change three bases downstream from the previously reported delins (CAATT replaced with ATTCA).
CG31882RT4 mutant adults do not show any overt morphological defects.
