The RMCE cassette of the Mi{MIC}AstA^MI03999 insertion has been replaced with a Trojan-GAL4 cassette. The insertion is in an intron in the 5' UTR of both annotated transcripts of AstA, and thus Scer\GAL4 expression due to gene trapping of these transcripts is not predicted. However, Scer\GAL4 expression is seen in this insertion line. This expression may be because it is inserted in a coding intron of an unannotated transcript of AstA or another gene.
