The T1 and T2 segments of stage 16 embryos expressing aseEnR.UAS.Tag:MYC under the control of Scer\GAL4elav-C155, but not Scer\GAL4lbe.K, show significant increases in the numbers of dividing neuroblasts and dividing neuroblast daughters, as compared to controls; stage 17 (air-filled trachea) embryos also show increased neuroblast division compared to controls.
At stage 11 combinatorial expression of aseVP16.UAS.Tag:MYC, worEnR.UAS.Tag:FLAG, SoxNEnR.UAS.Tag:V5 and KrUAS.Tag:V5 under the control of Scer\GAL4da.G32 leads to extensive ectopic neuroblasts not only in the underlying cell layers, but also in the upper neuroectodermal layer when compared to control embryos.
The triple co-expression of aseVP16.UAS.Tag:MYC, worEnR.UAS.Tag:FLAG and SoxNEnR.UAS.Tag:V5, or quadruple co-expression with KrUAS.Tag:V5, under the control of Scer\GAL4da.G32 triggers additional neuroblast and extensive over-proliferation in stage 12 embryos, as compared to controls. Quadruple expression under the control of Scer\GAL4lbe.K leads to the expansion of the NB5-6 neuronal lineage in late embryos, as compared to controls.
