Deletion of part of the RhoGEF3 locus, removing most of the sequence encoding the RhoGEF3-PA isoform. A loxP cassette containing a Disc\RFP3xP3.cUa marker has been inserted in place of the deleted segment.

      RhoGEF3KO mutants are semi-viable and fertile, with no obvious developmental defects but appeared weak and survived poorly as compared to controls; in particular, no fate defects were observed in the bristle lineage, as compared to controls.

      RhoGEF3KO homozygous sensory organ precursor cells exhibit bleb-like cortical instabilities during mitosis, as compared to controls.
