The RMCE cassette in the Mi{MIC}PitsMI02926 insertion has been replaced with a 'Double Header' (DH) trapping cassette (contains two independent trapping modules oriented in opposite directions). The cassette is in 'protein-trap' orientation relative to Pits, which is predicted to result in the Pits coding sequence being tagged with a EGFP-Tag:CALI(TC)-Tag:StrepII-Tag:CS(TEVp)-3xTag:FLAG multi-tag cassette.
Pits protein degradation by the constitutive or adulthood-only expression of slmbUAS.vhhGFP4 under the control of Scer\GAL4nSyb.PS or Scer\GAL4Act5C.PI in a PitsMI02926-DH.PT-GFSTF.1 background leads to decreased lifespan, and adults show a progressive decrease in climbing ability; peripheral wing nerves show axonal loss in aged flies (25 days post eclosion).
PitsMI02926-DH.PT-GFSTF.1, Scer\GAL4nSyb.PS, Zzzz\VHHdeGradFP.UAS has abnormal locomotor behavior | adult stage | progressive phenotype, suppressible | partially by CkIαJF01792, Scer\GAL4nSyb.PS
PitsMI02926-DH.PT-GFSTF.1, Scer\GAL4nSyb.PS, Zzzz\VHHdeGradFP.UAS has short lived phenotype, suppressible | partially by CkIαJF01792, Scer\GAL4nSyb.PS
PitsMI02926-DH.PT-GFSTF.1 is partially rescued by Pits+tCH322-141N09
