Silencing (using Ctet\TeTxLC^TNT.UAS) of neurons targeted by the split-GAL4 pair of Scer\GAL4^DBD.VT042475 and Hsap\RELA^AD.VT029310 in adult males results in a complete loss of courtship song in response to females, and altered wing posture (drooping) in all males, compared to controls; males with drooping wings still extend wings toward females as often as controls, but large wing extension angles are observed significantly less often and bilateral extension occurs significantly more often than in controls; copulation success is significantly reduced; take off and forced flight ability are also significantly impaired, compared to controls.
