Deletion in the isoform-specific C-terminal exon of the lola-J isoform (this exon encodes the zinc-finger motif), resulting in a specific knockout of the lola-J isoform (mutation results in a frameshift).
The deletion coordinates were determined from the reported junction sequences. A 21nt deletion reported to specifically affect isoform J which corresponds to lola-RT and lola-RU in FlyBase.
