Recombineering and the InSIRT technique was used to generate 1.1kb deletion of the "iab-6[cocu]" enhancer, which also removes the first exon of the 'msa' transcript of lncRNA:iab8 (corresponding to lncRNA:iab8-RA and/or lncRNA:iab8-RB).
