Individuals expressing Ir7aUAS.cRa under the control of Scer\GAL4Gr5a.PUn show increased attraction to food laced with acetic acid (1% and 2%), as compared to controls. The sugar sensing GRNs that enervate their L-type sensilla (L3, L4 and L5) become responsive to acetic acid (0.01%, 0.1%, 0.5%, and 1%), which is not observed in controls.
