Two point mutations have been introduced into the endogenous para locus. These are a mutation equivalent to amino acid substitution F1845Y in the P. xylostella voltage-gated sodium channel gene and a mutation equivalent to amino acid substitution V1848I in the T. absoluta voltage-gated sodium channel gene.
