Expressing snz^UAS.FL under the control of Scer\GAL4^DcG leads to third instar larval fat cells exhibiting enlarged peripheral lipid droplets, as compared to controls. Adults are resistant to starvation and long lived in either standard or high-sugar diet, as compared to controls.
