      In c(3)GccΔ2 females, there is loss of synaptonemal complex (Corolla immunostaining) length only from mid pachytene, as compared with controls.

      In c(3)GccΔ2 females, oocytes show significantly decreased DNA double strand break formation during early pachytene, and a slight decrease in distal X homologous chromosome pairing (but not in 3rd homologous chromosome pairing) during pachytene, despite of normal centromere pairing and clustering, as compared to controls. These are associated with abnormal chromosomal recombination, compared to controls: relatively normal levels of X chromosome recombination along the, but abnormal 3rd chromosome recombination (increased proximal euchromatin recombination and decreased distal euchromatin recombination. However, there are no changes in the frequency of X or 4th chromosome non-disjunction events, as compared to controls.
