      Expression of Fas2VDRC.cUa under the control of Scer\GAL4Uro.PT leads to sparse, shorter and less organized microvillar brush border; a significant decrease in microvilli length; more disorganized microvilli with a significant increase in the distance between individual microvilli; and a significant decrease in the stimulated rate of fluid secretion in renal tubules when compared to control adults.
