Description

The C450S amino acid replacement has been introduced into the endogenous Irp-1A locus; this results in a form of Irp-1A that has shows increased mRNA-binding and reduced aconitase activity compared to the wild-type protein. In addition, three copies of the Tag:FLAG tag have been inserted at the C-terminal end of the open reading frame.
