Description

UAS regulates expression of Tag:HA-tagged Tbc1d22 in which two catalytic residues, arginine (R311) and glutamine (Q346), are mutated to alanine to generate a dominant-negative form, which stably binds to Rab GTP but cannot catalyze GTP hydrolysis.

      The expression of Tbc1d22RQ.UAS.Tag:HA under the control of Scer\GAL4GMR.PFa results in more and larger lipid droplets in retina glial and photoreceptor cells of 1-day old adults.

      Early third instar larvae expressing Tbc1d22RQ.UAS.Tag:HA under the control of Scer\GAL4Cg.PA display larger lipid droplets in the fat body; early third instar larvae expressing Tbc1d22RQ.UAS.Tag:HA under the control of Scer\GAL4ppl.PP display ectopic lipid droplets in the salivary glands.
