Description

UASt regulates expression of a truncated amx ORF derived from the cDNA clone GH02974 with the majority of the endogenous amx N'-end removed but leaving the signal sequence and TM2 domains intact. A 3xTag:HA is inserted after the amx signal sequence.

      The expression of amxΔECD.UAS.Tag:HA under the control of Scer\GAL4pnr-MD237 induces wing notches along the posterior wing margin, as well as an increase in the number of mechanosensory bristles (micro- and macrochaeta).

      Expression of one copy of amxΔECD.UAS.Tag:HA under the control of one copy of Scer\GAL4nub.PK induces wing notches along the wing margin; expression of two copies of amxΔECD.UAS.Tag:HA under the control of two copies of Scer\GAL4pnr-MD237 show near complete wing loss.
