Description

UASt regulates expression of a ligand-independent form of N that still depends on ADAM10 and gamma-secretase by deleting several epidermal growth factor-like (EGF) repeats of the extracellular domain that contains the ligand binding domain and Lin-12/Notch Repeats (LNR) within the negative regulatory region. FlyBase curator comment: the expressed protein is not tagged with HA even though the transgene was generated using the pUASg-HA.attB plasmid, as the ORF contains a stop codon (see FBrf0252879).
