Description

Precise deletion of the entire zebra element from the endogenous ftz locus, replacing it with a single AvrII site (CCTAGG). The deletion is 597bp in length, extending from -670 to -74 relative to the transcription start site. The basal promoter, including a GAGA site downstream of the deletion, is intact, as is the neurogenic element upstream of the deletion.
