      Adults expressing PIP5K59BUAS.L under the control of Scer\GAL4ninaE.PT show light-dependent retinal degeneration i.e. progressive decrease in the number of rhabdomeres per ommatidium.

      The co-expression of PIP5K59B18 and PIP5K59BUAS.L under the control of Scer\GAL4ninaE.PT induces eye defects (including small size).
