Description

A 'DocE' putative regulatory element (normally located in a gene desert within the Doc1/Doc2 cluster) and a minimal sna promoter are fused upstream of a y transcriptional reporter (the ATG of the y open reading frame is mutated to avoid translation of this late expressed gene at early embryonic stages). 24 copies of the Tag:MS2 stem loop have been inserted immediately upstream of the y coding sequence.
