Description

5bp frame-shifting deletion within the Cap-H2 coding sequence, resulting in a premature stop codon. Also contains a second deletion in the Cap-H2 coding sequence, further downstream (the second deletion is 918bp, and is identical to the lesion found in Cap-H2cc1).

Comment:

A 5bp frameshifting deletion in Cap-H2 bounded by sequences 5' ATGTCGGACGACAAGCGCTTCAACG .. GGCTTTGTAAAGT 3'. This allele also contains a 918bp deletion further downstream (the same deletion as in Cap-H2cc1.

Comment:

A 918bp frameshifting deletion in Cap-H2 bounded by sequences 5' AGCGAAGTCGAG .. CCCACATTTGAC 3'. This allele also contains a 5bp frameshifting deletion further upstream.

Notes on Origin
Discoverer

Homozygous lethal, but hemizygous viable, suggesting the presence of second-site recessive lethal mutation on the chromosome.
