      The few surviving adults expressing wdsTRiP.cUa under the control of Scer\GAL44XHand exhibit a severely impaired heart function, since only show residual brain staining after dye injection into the heart cavity, as compared to controls. Larvae show severe heart defects, with abnormal cardiac actin organization and fiber density, and extremely high levels of collagen (Pericardin) deposition, as compared to controls.

      Expression under the control of Scer\GAL4HCH.Hand does not induce significant lethality.
